Another sweet custom build just completed. Viner Italian frame with a Suntour ARX groupset. The customer requested the tyres and was pretty happy with the finished product 🙂

We collect rare and beautiful vintage bikes and restore them, we then offer them to you guys to enjoy on our roads. We love what we do here, we love the concept and practice of recycling these bikes and giving them a new life, we love the balance of form and function that older bikes have, the hand-built quality and details that rarely exist today in our climate of economic rationalism and focus on increasing profits at any cost. We offer an alternative to the cheap and nasty chinese built bikes that are proliferating and polluting the streets, we aptly name them landfill bikes as they are quickly discarded….. i could go on. Back on a positive note, vintage bikes when looked after and serviced a few times a year will last the test of time, they look amazing and when built properly, ride like a dream. This bike left the shop this morning, 1950’s frame, 2paked black, Sturmey Archer 2 speed kick back hub, Sturmey cranks, rare old Japanese Stem, Shimano high flange front hub, Bell vintage leather saddle with embossed lyrebird matching the leather grips.

Mottainai Cycles are pumped up to invite you to our new shop front at 50 Rose Street, we think it looks pretty radness and we share the space on the weekends with Overdosa (explained above). We are next to the Rose Street Artist markets. Come in and check out our bikes, we are open everyday from 10.30am to 6.30pm. We truly love bikes and also service all types of bicycles for you.
